Today We Celebrate Our Independence Day

July 4, 2008 – 9:24 pm

INDEPENDENCE DAY

July 4, 1776 – 2008

When in the course of human events the government becomes destructive of the ends for which it was established, it is the Right of the People to alter it and demand restoration of those Constitutional Principles that have so long assured their Liberty, Safety, and Happiness. Therefore, on the anniversary of our Independence, we offer this new declaration for our times.

The history of this president is one of arbitrary usurpations of power, the effect of which is to establish tyranny through false promises of greater security.

He has created a multitude of secret programs and sent swarms of petty officers to spy on Americans in a misguided effort to combat foreign terrorism. He has invested these agents with sweeping new powers to monitor our conversations and ransack our personal papers and effects without judicial supervision or any reason to believe — as the Constitution requires — that a crime has been committed.

He has further claimed the power to disregard legislation that Congress has passed.

He has suspended the laws and treaties against torture, authorized the kidnapping of mere suspects, and transported hundreds of prisoners beyond seas so that no independent judiciary could question the legality of their mistreatment.

He and his supporters in Congress have granted amnesty to the officials who unleashed torture and humiliation upon helpless prisoners, to the disgrace of our nation.

He has denied these prisoners access to attorneys, family, and friends and has claimed the right to try them before military tribunals specifically designed to disregard the most basic principles of law.

He has imprisoned thousands of lawful immigrants for months without charges, under brutal conditions, until his agents, rather than independent courts, decide that they posed no threat.

He has wrapped his usurpations of power and his deprivations of liberty in thick cloaks of secrecy, thereby showing contempt for the rule of law and the proper functions of Congress, the courts, and the press.

At every stage of these oppressions we have sought redress, but our petitions have been answered only by repeated injury.

We, therefore, resolve to resist these usurpations by all lawful means at our disposal. We insist that the powers of our national government be shared by all branches of that government and not concentrated in one alone. And we call upon Congress, the courts, and the press to reassert their constitutional functions and restore the promise that is America.

To these ends, we mutually pledge our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.

…pass it on

PukeBlog is Calling it Bitches!

June 4, 2008 – 12:30 am

Yo, We’re doing it first. Senator Barack Hussein Obama will be the first African American major party nominee for the President Of The United States Of America when your ass wakes up in the morning.

Senator Obama is 12 delegates away from the nomination before the polls even close in South Dakota and Montana.

Here’s how we see it going down from here (based on RCP polling numbers and our guesswork):

South Dakota: 60%-40% (about a 9-6 spread in delegates) Clinton.

Montana: 51%-49% (about a 9-7 spread in delegates) Obama.

That would net Obama 13 delegates pushing him over that majority benchmark. And that’s just where things stand this afternoon. All day long stories and confirmations of other superdelegates have stated they will declare when the polls close, or when there is a delegate majority leader.

So

History has been made today, and PukeBlog has got it out there among the first groups reporting. Suck that MSM!

(CNN democratic delegate calculator used for delegate estimates from the races)

Get off your asses people and recognize History is right now!

***UPDATE***: CNN now has the delegate margin down to 11 10 away from the finish line…and remember, this is 11 delegates from the nomination before the polls even close tonight.

Rules committees are for squares that don’t know what the fuck they’re doing.

May 31, 2008 – 9:41 pm

So if you’re a Democrat with half a brain you know how important today is. If this is your first foray onto the internet and you’re a clueless simp; go fuck off.

A Bunch of Selfish Bitchy Nobodies

Today the Ittie-Bitty Democratic Party Rules Titty Committee meets to discuss what they’re to do with the Florida and Michigan mess.

I’ve got an easy answer for you: Fuck them both.

Michigan will go democratic in November while Florida goes red. It’s a reality of the political climate of the two states. Florida isn’t this magic swing place that will deliver unto the democrats the win they’ve wanted since… well since the last time Florida voted republican.

In the last 10 elections Florida has been a red state for 8 of them and Michigan has been consistently blue for the past four elections, even when Mr. Boring himself (John Kerry) ran. To think anything else is to be too goddamn close to this election to make reasoned judgements.

But aside from the pragmatic perception of how these states will go in November, there’s a deeper reason for tossing these two states to the wolves. And it’s a pretty fucking obvious reason as well.

They straight up violated party rules.

The democratic party doesn’t hold U.S. Elections, they’re a private party that holds private elections per their own rules. These two states broke the rules, they arrogantly claimed that the DNC would do nothing, and now they bitch when punished.

Suck it up pussies.

….well hold on now… Both states were put into this position by Republican lawmakers…

Patently false. Flagrant fucking lying lie if ever one was told. This supposition that the republicans crammed these measures down the terrified and violated democrats is horse shit. State democrats had a hard on for earlier primary days like Larry Craig had a hard on for bathroom encounters.

The Skinny on Florida:

Back in May of 2007 the NY Times ran a piece on the subject of Florida’s defiant move. In that article many Florida lawmakers were brash and cavalier about threatened DNC sanctions:

…But Florida officials scoffed at those threats, calling the conventions little more than a formality.

“We have people who get invited to a big party where they drop a balloon and people wear funny hats,” said Marco Rubio, speaker of the State House of Representatives. “But they don’t have any role to play.”…

How does a group of lawmakers that so dismisses the convention and the ruling body get to come back like a petulant child and blame it on Republicans?

Well, first you have to forget that you voted for it in the first place. The ruling to move the primary date passed the Florida House unanimously. For the fucktards out there, that means that both democrats and republicans voted to pass Florida House Bill 537. Look for yourself, this was a debated bill that took over a month to pass. IF, and a big if here. If democrats thought they were being pressured into a primary change, what the shit was stopping them from removing the primary date change? Nothing. Nothing even stopped them from making a protest vote.

Democrats weren’t a bunch of innocent little red riding hoods gobbled up by the big bad republican wolf. No- FUCK no. These were politicians that willfully and eagerly moved their primary date. Why you might ask?

Pretty selfish reasons actually. Florida thought it could make itself more important in elections. Guess what Florida. It worked. You are important in elections, you’re important the way everybody’s idiot friend is important. You’re that guy that always has to fuck it up, but you never realize it.

Same New York Times piece again:

…supporters of Florida’s move say penalties will not deter candidates from campaigning in the state, which has political influence commensurate with its status as the fourth most-populous state…

and one more time:

…Steven A. Geller, the Democratic leader in the Florida Senate, sent a letter to DNC Chairman Howard Dean on Thursday urging him to reconsider the threat of penalties. Geller argued that Democrats made efforts to amend the legislation but were stymied by the Republican-controlled legislature. “By threatening to punish Florida Democrats because of actions taken by Florida Republicans, it is the party as a whole which will bear the brunt of your retaliation,” Geller wrote…

well hold on now…it looks like Democrats were fighting this from the start!

Yeah. Let’s look at Douchebag Geller in a better context shall we?

That sarcasm? Total class. Total disenfranchisement. He really looks and acts like someone that got steamrolled. That’s for damn sure.

Here’s the truth. The hardbitten reality of common sense:

If The Florida Democratic party wanted nothing to do with the primary date changes, but still wanted to support the overall election reform bill they should have thrown a national stink about the clause.

Instead state Democrats rolled over and passed the bill with cursory complaints but overall support. Instead of appealing to the DNC, they scoffed at sanctions. You know who pissed in my Cheerios this morning? The entire self-serving state of “fuck up your elections” Florida.

The Low-Down with Michigan:

Michigan straight fucked up too, but you don’t hear them bitching like a bunch of sunbathed self serving shit heads. Why is that? Michigan is a third world country. It’s straight fucked up. There’s a state that’s so desperate for coin they thought they could revitalize their economy by bringing in candidates.

They were wrong, but they’re willing to pay for it. No whining little fucks here. In Michigan you eat gravel when you’re too broke to buy food, in Florida they just live off their own body fat while pissing in my food.

In Michigan they don’t lie that the State party pushed up the date. The democratic Governor signed off. and House Democrats gave the go-ahead to the Republican Senate majority to draft up a bill, a compromise version passed both houses and was signed into law.

It’s cut and dry. Pretty easy and simple right?

Wrong. Hillary Fucking “I WANNA BE PRESIDENT” Clinton is the ruinous terd sandwich in this equation.

She agreed to not campaign in the state, but refused to remove her name from the ballot (sounds like cheating to me). But now, she says that all those votes counted for her, she want’s to make sure that their votes count….as long as they voted for her.

I’m not going to go into the details of why Hillary Clinton is a backstabbing maneuvering scum of a politician..if you’re taking my word on things so far, why stop now?

But if you don’t agree by now, you probably never will and should move to Florida; I don’t care about you.

I will say this though; Douchebag Clinton calling for an election to count where hers was the only name on the ballot is undemocratic. It’s biased, and has nothing to do with fair representation.

You know what is fair? Have her run in Michigan against John Edwards. The candidate that was favored in that race. John Edwards could have taken Michigan the way Hillary upset in New Hampshire. A win in that state for Edwards would have changed the dynamic rolling into every other primary. Instead Hilldog refused to abide by the full party rules, and now claims to be the champion of the voters.

Yo Hillary! If you care so much about voters why weren’t you working this hard in Florida back in 2000? Obviously you care about them as voters, why didn’t you before?

Oh yeah. Because now it serves you, and just you. Not your party. Way to be a team player you cunt.

Look. These two states fucked up, and now their poor decisions are being politicized by groups that are seeking political gain. Both in national and state level representatives. The stripping of delegates was unpopular in both states, especially Florida, but it’s a re-election year for a lot of people, and a losing national candidate, and state representatives are scrambling to cover their own fuckups.

While this is an issue that must be addressed because it is turning into a royal blow up, citizens and the ruling bodies cannot forget or forgive the pandering, manipulation, and ultimate responsibility of those that defied the rules. There is no innocent body here, and while the voters of these states may have gotten the royal end of the shaft, the states must stand by their punishments.

Any changes to the seating of these delegates clearly displays that the DNC is so politically terrified of defeat it will do anything it can to win, and it proves that the DNC has no true influence or power within it’s party or personalities.

PukeBlog launched on 4/20 but I was too high to care

April 21, 2008 – 6:45 pm

PukeBlog was squeezed out yesterday on April 20th. 420. I had all these great ideas for a starting post for a new blog on the scene. I was going to deliver scathing political commentary, or maybe a slam on some dumbass commercial. I could have waxed philosophical about how shit has changed in the past 10 years and all the awesome shit that is coming in the future. I could have written about some technical aspect of Photoshop or Final Cut Pro that I know, or I could have even regurgitated something I saw on Digg, Reddit, or StumbleUpon, but then this would be like any other shitty startup blog.

Instead I got really fucking high and watched cartoons.

So there it is. The inasupicious start of PukeBlog. A stoned afternoon where I didn’t do shit.

Suck that internet.
